A Global Language, an Eastern Voice

Liuli

Glass art is a shared language of human creation. From the molten breath of Venice to the contemporary voice of New York; from the quiet refinement of Kyoto to the centuries-old craft of Boshan — glass carries, in light and form, the feeling and aesthetics of many civilizations, becoming a thread of culture that crosses language and place. Within this global context, Liuli is one of its significant parts.

Liuli is part of the East’s intangible cultural heritage, holding within it the spirit of Eastern aesthetics — the vessel as a carrier of meaning, the light as a carrier of feeling. Contemporary Liuli brings together traditional craft and the language of modern design, reaching architecture, spatial design, fashion, and cultural products — becoming a medium that connects art with daily life, culture with industry.

Let the Light Converge

In Venice, glass is a craft passed down through family workshops; in Bohemia, a precision honed again and again through waves of industrialization; in Boshan, a devotion kept alive by furnaces burning for a thousand years. Countless artisans, artists, and designers have given their lives to it, creating work of breathtaking beauty — yet the place of glass art on the world’s cultural map still falls far short of what it deserves.

This is the reason Auraliu exists.

What we set out to do is bring together the forces scattered across the world: to bring craft into view, to give creation the respect it is owed, and to make this ancient art of light a cultural language that connects the world. This is not something one company can accomplish. We need artists, artisans, designers, academic institutions, brands, industry partners, investors, collectors — everyone who loves glass art.
